What the Data Showed

Both primary endpoints were met at meaningful magnitudes across dose tiers. A substantial proportion of tirzepatide-treated patients achieved MASH resolution, and a substantial proportion showed fibrosis improvement. Weight loss was proportional to what SURMOUNT trials showed. Metabolic markers improved alongside the histologic changes.

The magnitude of histologic improvement was clinically meaningful — approaching or exceeding what thyroid receptor agonist agents have shown in this population, without the specific side-effect profile of those agents.
